Last Sunday we had Brandon's birthday party, it was such a blessing seeing him so very excited to open his presents and become over joyed at what he received. Brandon is very into everything Thomas the train right now. As Daddy and Mommy we wanted to give Brandon a Thomas birthday he would not forget. We wanted to have the Thomas cake, Thomas decorations, and as our gift we wanted to give him a train table. But that was not going to happen because we had medical bills from Mackenzie breaking her arm that need to get paid and the last payment was take out of Justin's paycheck to pay for the taxes on the cruise that we took back in June. The extra money was just not there to be spent. My mommy heart was hurting and I could do nothing to make things better.
Three days before the Party God provide it all! Justin open his work email and read one email telling him that he had won serevel awards and that he had so much money to spend by using his Allstate credit card. The first thing that came to my mind was we can get the train table, thank you Lord Jesus. While I was out at target getting the train table Justin called to tell me that Grandma (Justin's mom) called and wanted to let us know that she had bought Thomas cups, plates and napkins. I was feeling over whelmed at this point with gratitude that God had just meet that want also. my Mommy heart was on top of the world. But God did not stop there. My mom called and wanted to help out since she was not able to be there, yep you guessed it she bought the Thomas cake.
I hate to say that I did not even pray and ask the Lord to provide any of this. I had just planned to make a cake, buy plain blue plates and cups and get more track for the trains that I knew that he was going to be getting from other people. I think that sometimes we put God in a small box and don't even think that He can provide things as little as a birthday party for a 5 year boy, but he can and does!
