Oh what a day! :)

I was reading my favorite blog today after my day did not go as I wanted to go and it spoke straight to my heart. I wanted to share it with you because I believe that we all need to hear what it had to say.

.All too often, we arrogantly think we are in charge. We imagine that we’re planning and deciding our life’s course. Who are we kidding? We need to humble ourselves and acknowledge, “God you are in charge. And I humbly accept your plan for the changing seasons of my life.” We can trust this God who is in charge because we know his purposes are always directed for his glory and our good (Rom 8:28). As author Elisabeth Elliot insists, “Everything that happens to you has come through the hedge of His love.” What comfort and rest this brings to our hearts! As we seek to make the best use of time in every season, we can be confident that God’s divine wisdom and perfect love direct his purposes in our lives

Four hours later I can look back and laugh and see that it is funny but at the time I was ready to scream! I was taking my shower trying to get ready to go to church. I told both Mackenzie and Brandon that I was going to be taking a shower and that they needed to behave. Not even two minutes into my shower Brandon screams out, so I turn off the water and call Brandon into the bathroom. I end up just giving him a kiss and sending him on his way. One minute later Mackenzie comes into the bathroom opens the shower door and tell me "Mommy my tummy is soooooo hungry" I say well go get a granola bar, problem fixed. Twenty seconds later she is back opening the shower door saying that she could not get it opened. So I am standing in the shower opening a granola bar.

I posted some pictures of the better moments of today.
Brandon wanting to be like daddy. He is wearing daddy's hat and reading one of daddy's books laying on daddy's side of the bed.
Mackenzie was reading a book about hynms and Brandon was reading his Bible.

Mackenzie justed wanted a picture of her without Brandon in it.

Mackenzie wanted to take a picture of mommy, not to bad for a 5 year old! Great job Mackenzie!
